Halloween Is On It's Way

Last year we didn't have much a a Halloween.  One of us was sick, and I was pregnant.  We got Griffin dressed in his cute monkey costume, but didn't do any trick-or-treating...Griffin didn't mind since he was only 8 months old anyway!

Isn't he just the cutest monkey you've ever seen?!

I just love the drool dripping off his chin!

So sweet!  Yes, he is our little monkey!

The year before that, Hubby and I went to a party at a friend's house.  We really haven't ever been much of the dress up kind of people, so I made our costumes that year.  I thought they were pretty funny!

I was pregnant with our monkey at the time so our costumes were prego-related!  They were both t-shirts that I painted.

Here is mine!

And here is hubby's!  Complete with little antenna! Notice that the baby has antenna too!

Here is the alien who abducted me!  Pretty good lookin' alien!

And here's me!

The happy couple!

I didn't want to go with the typical costumes of the pregnant nun and priest or anything like that.  So I thought these were fun and not typical, and didn't require us to be uncomfortable all night.

So now I am trying to come up with something for this Halloween.  I think hubby and I probably won't dress up, but I want to do something for the kids.  I would love for them to be a "pair", but I can't decide on what I want them to be.  I need some help!  Halloween is only 3 weeks away!

Here are some of the things I have thought of:

M & M's
Crayons
PB & J
Bunny & a carrot
Fisherman & Fish
Charlie Brown & Football
Bear & Honeypot

I am kinda leaning to the Charlie Brown and football one.  That would be cute, and easy to make.  And I really like the fisherman and fish one.  But I don't LOVE any of these ideas.

What do you think?  Any ideas?  Keep in mind, I would like to make the outfits so they need to be fairly simple, and I want the kids to be comfortable.

HELP ME OUT!!!

  2. Thanks Mary! You have motivated me! I think I am going to have Olivia be the monkey and Griffin be a ZooKeeper! That should be easy enough! I just need to find a safari hat for him!
