Target Toy Clearance

I LOVE saving money!!  I mean, really, who doesn't?

Before I got married and had kids, I had to worry about money.  I made more than I spent, which is all I needed to know!  Now with two kids our bank account seems to have a leak in it somewhere!  We should really get that checked out!

This past Christmas we were on a really tight budget.  At first I was very thankful that my kids are so young and wouldn't really know the difference.  I am an only child, so growing up I had AMAZING Christmases!  (Is that a word?  Spell check didn't come up, so I am guessing that is spelled correctly!)  Christmas is definitely the best time to be an only child!  I had friends with several siblings and they each got a certain number of gifts, or up to a certain amount spent on them.  I can say I was VERY lucky (and maybe a little spoiled) since just about everything under the tree Christmas morning was for me!

We weren't rich by any stretch of the imagination, but we were well enough off that my parents could afford to get me lots of nice things.  My dad once told me he wanted to have enough money to be able to get me most of what I wanted, and everything I needed.  That's exactly how I feel!

So this year Christmas on a budget wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...Thanks to IKEA and to Target Clearance Sale!  (IKEA has some great toys for great prices!)  Last July I went to the Target Clearance sale and got a few things for the kids for Christmas for very cheap!

This year I went to the January clearance sale, which I didn't even realize they had!!  And they had TONS of things on clearance, not just toys.  Here is what I scored...

Loads of toys!  We also have a gift closet at our house for birthday parties and Christmas gifts.  This is a GREAT place to update the gift closet, since it got depleted at Christmas!

Great things for the toy closet!

And this was my big score!  This is for our monkey for next Christmas!  It was originally $50 and I got it for $15!!  Woohoo!
